Why electricians are tested before shortlisting
UAE fit-out and MEP work is inspected closely and handed over on tight dates. An electrician whose termination is untidy or who cannot follow a drawing does not fail loudly; he fails at snagging, when there is no time left to fix it.
The recruitment licence is held by Taj HR Services — B-3252/DEL/PER/1000+/5/11251/2025, issued by India’s Ministry of External Affairs — and every deployment to the UAE runs through it.
What the electrical test covers
Drawing to wiring
A simple schematic, and the man wires it. Whether he reads it unaided is most of the answer.
Termination and panel dressing
Crimping, lugging, glanding and cable dressing. This is the single most common reason UAE supervisors downgrade a new electrician.
Testing and measurement
Continuity, insulation resistance with a megger, correct multimeter use. A man who guesses instead of measuring is not an electrician.
Isolation and safety
Proving dead before work, lock-out discipline, and the confidence to refuse an unsafe instruction.
Certificates and papers
ITI Electrician certificates and wireman licences go with the profile where held, described for what they actually prove. A domestic wireman is never presented as an industrial electrician.
Alongside the trade papers, every candidate’s passport and ECR status, approved medical, police clearance and eMigrate PoE clearance are sequenced so nothing expires while your entry permit is in process.

What employers ask about electricians
Do you distinguish domestic, commercial and industrial electricians?
Yes. A man who has wired villas is not ready for a plant room, and we test to the level your work needs rather than blurring them.
Will they be ready for DEWA or local authority inspection standards?
Tell us the standard your work is inspected against and we will test to it. We will not claim familiarity with an authority’s requirements a man has never worked under.
Can our engineer interview and test by video?
Yes. We arrange the candidates, the panel and the instruments, and your engineer runs it from the UAE.
Do you supply electricians for fit-out under time pressure?
Tell us the handover date. Fit-out needs men who hold quality at speed, and we select for that differently from routine maintenance.
